We will share our experiences transitioning to agile at an enterprise level. During our discussion we will review key elements to have in place before making a transition and highlight some challenges that are commonly encountered. We will then look at metrics to track, or not track, and what to look for to see how the teams and organization are progressing in the transition. Finally we will share our most recent experiences adapting a more lean approach across our organization.

Ken Wiebke, CSM, is a software professional with over 25 years of industry experience ranging from mainframes to mobile phones and all things in-between. Ken’s had the fortune to work at organizations of various sizes where he gained first-hand knowledge the challenges of building enterprise caliber software at varying scales. Kristofor Walburn, CSP, is a software professional with over 16 years of industry experience. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Northwest Missouri State University. Kristofor is a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), and Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) from the Scrum Alliance Kristofor has the unique experience of first learning Agile in a distributed environment while on a 5 year expatriate assignment in Bangkok, Thailand. From this experience, he moved on to Accenture where he consulted Fortune 100 clients at various phases of their Agile journeys, specializing in distributed Agile teams. Most recently, Kristofor is an Agile Lead at VinSolutions, Inc. in the Websites organization focused on delivering a best-in-class Content Management platform while eliminating waste with Lean-Agile.
