Open KC is a modified version of the popular Open Space Technology. The intent of Open KC is to provide a space for people with a common interest to gather, self-organize and focus on the topics they are most interested.
Those interested in convening a session propose their topic during the initial Market Place, and select a time and space for it. Those interested in that topic join and have a self-organized discussion. Whether you have ideas to share, or are simply interested in listening to others, Open KC provides a forum for all to be involved and learn. Open KC is a place to share your expertise, or to seek out the expertise you are needing.
Open KC Principles:
1. Whoever comes is the right people
2. Whatever happens is the only thing that could have
3. Whenever it starts is the right time
4. When it’s over, it’s over
5. Law of two feet (or law of mobility)
The Open KC event will run concurrently with the afternoon Deep Dive sessions.
